RN's and LPN's at Bay Area Medical Center are required to be Wisconsin licensed or hold a current license to practice in an Interstate Mutual Compact State. The states that have mutual recognition pacts with Wisconsin are:

Once primary residence in Wisconsin is established, then the nurse must apply for a Wisconsin license. Licenses are renewed every two years. There currently is not any mandatory continuing education requirements.

RN's and LPN's who will be practicing in Michigan will be required to hold a current Michigan nursing license in addition to the Wisconsin license. Michigan requires that RN's and LPN's have 25 contact hours of continuing education every two years to maintain their licensure.

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA's) must be on the State of Wisconsin Nurse Aide Directory. You also must update your status with the Directory every two years. You can obtain an application to be placed on the registry or update your status at 1-608-267-2374 or visit their website at:
