BAMC Recognizes Employees for July (July 7, 2003)


Kristie Rice is selected as Bay Area Medical Center’s Employee of the Month for July.

(Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center announced Kristie Rice as Employee of the Month and awarded seven others for achieving customer service standards in July.

Rice is a billing clerk in the Business Office and has been with BAMC for the past six years. She completed courses in Accounting and Business Management at Northern Michigan University and completed a Medical Business Specialist course through the State Medical Society of Wisconsin.

Rice was chosen for her performance - going above and beyond the call of duty taking on additional tasks and spending time training her co-workers. She is described as a valuable resource to the Business Office.

“ I am proud to be a BAMC employee and do the best job that I can for the patients I have contact with,” says Rice.

Seven other employees were named Service Care Stars for excelling in the hospital’s Service Care standards. These employees are:

  • Kerry Burton - Director of HIM for making a positive first impression
  • Kathy Willmann - 2-East Medical/Surgical unit RN for treating others as guests
  • Linda Gabriel - Environmental Services Aide for developing service recovery
  • Richelle Kaempf - Emergency Services Unit Secretary for communicating effectively
  • Lori Willame - 2-East Medical/Surgical unit RN for serving others from a team-centered approach
  • Rob Poetzl - Diagnostic Imaging Technician for projecting a positive attitude
  • Jason Koenigs - Physical Therapist for making excellence the goal
