Health Fair at Daggett Medical Clinic (July 29, 2003)

(Marinette, Wis.) – The Daggett Medical Clinic is celebrating health and encouraging the community to participate in free screenings at a Health Fair on August 6 from 3:00-7:00 P.M. at the clinic on 106 S. School Road in Daggett.

The health fair will feature demonstrations, tours and free health screenings for children and adults from all five providers occupying the building.

The NorthReach Daggett Medical Clinic will be providing tours of their clinic, free blood pressure checks, child glow-in-the-dark hand washing demonstrations and the chance to meet their staff including Dr. Cynthia Floore, the new family practice physician, and Sharon Fellion, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.

Bay Area Medical Center Physical Therapy services will offer body composition screens and athletic testing demonstrations.

Free oral cancer screenings and Toothprints Dental ID will be provided by NEW – UP Dental PC. Toothprints are a new innovative form of identification that record children’s individual tooth characteristics and impression, DNA and scent to assist with law enforcement efforts.

Dr. Paul R. Gayeff, Optometrist, will also be providing free glaucoma screens. Pre-scheduling for this screen is required – call 906-753-2212 for an appointment.

Daggett Health Supplies, an extension of the Peshtigo Pharmacy, will be providing diabetic glucometer education.

There will also be many activities for parents and children including free child car seat inspections, tours through the Mid-County Rescue Squad, balloons, face painting and a prize raffle.

The Daggett Lions Club and Belgiumtown Restaurant will serve free food and refreshments including brats, hot dogs and corn.
