BAMC Recognizes Employees for August (August 29, 2003)

Stacey Geniesse is selected as Bay Area Medical Center’s Employee of the Month for August.

(Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center announced Stacey Geniesse as Employee of the Month and awarded seven others for achieving customer service standards in August.

Geniesse is an accessioner in the Lab and has been with BAMC since 1995. She received her degree in the clinical assistant program at Northern Michigan University.

Geniesse was chosen for her active role in the Laboratory including updating procedures, guiding co-workers and participating on a performance improvement team. She is described as the “hub” of the Lab willing to help others and goes the extra distance.

“ I work with a great bunch of co-workers and friends,” says Geniesse.

Seven other employees were named Service Care Stars for excelling in the hospital’s Service Care standards. These employees are:

• Gini Davis - Administrative Director Inpatient Services for making a positive first impression
• Janet Gaylord - 1-East Medical/Surgical unit LPN for treating others as guests
• Bill Betts - Respiratory Therapy Practitioner for developing service recovery
• Carrie Cate, Registrar for communicating effectively
• Craig Mansur - Pastoral Care Director for serving others from a team-centered approach;
• Stephanie Brofka - Diagnostic Imaging Technician for projecting a positive attitude
• Michelle Messenger - 2-East Medical/Surgical unit RN for making excellence the goal
