BAMC Recognizes Employees for September (September 16, 2003)


Tracey Champeau is selected as Bay Area Medical Center’s Employee of the Month for September.

(Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center announced Tracey Champeau as Employee of the Month and awarded seven others for achieving customer service standards in September.

Champeau is a scheduler in Diagnostic Imaging, and has been a part of the growth and changes in her Central Scheduling area since it was created a few years ago. Champeau graduated from Menominee High School and has also taken courses at NWTC.

She was chosen for her professionalism, quality service and problem solving skills. Champeau’s supervisor described her as, “A most valuable member of the Diagnostic Imaging staff, and an excellent example of the outstanding caliber of individuals we have at Bay Area Medical Center.”

Seven other employees were named Service Care Stars for excelling in the hospital’s Service Care standards. These employees are:

  • Kathi Gutknecht - Director of Performance Improvement/Risk Management for making a positive first impression
  • Karen Meyer - 1-East Medical/Surgical unit RN for treating others as guests
  • Jan Wilke - 1-East Medical/Surgical unit RN for developing service recovery
  • Kate Lapierre - ICU RN for communicating effectively;
  • Sandy Bundy, Emergency Services RN for serving others from a team-centered approach
  • Teresa Aho - 1-East Medical/Surgical unit RN for projecting a positive attitude
  • Sandy Olive - Diagnostic Imaging Technologist Assistant for making excellence the goal
