BAMC Recognizes Employees for October (October 29, 2003)

Linda Thoney is selected as Bay Area Medical Center’s Employee of the Month for October.

(Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center announced Linda Thoney as Employee of the Month and awarded seven others for achieving customer service standards in October.

Thoney is a purchasing assistant in Materials Management and is responsible for knowing six different positions within her department. Thoney graduated from Stephenson High School and currently lives in Stephenson. She has been an employee at BAMC for 14 years.

Thoney was chosen for her positive attitude and teamwork initiatives by always looking out for her co-workers and the well being of the hospital. Thoney’s supervisor described her as, “One of BAMC’s most loyal employees.”

Seven other employees were named Service Care Stars for excelling in the hospital’s Service Care standards. These employees are:

• Sara Villas - Sleep Lab polysomnography technologist for making a positive first impression
• John Smith - Information Technology computer operator for treating others as guests
• Kelly Zahn - Physical Therapy receptionist for developing service recovery
• Beth Marineau - Case Management supervisor for communicating effectively
• Lisa Lagassie - Health Information Management Transcriptionist for serving others from a team-centered approach
• Cindy Boettcher - Registrar for projecting a positive attitude
• Deanna Parrson - Emergency Services RN for making excellence the goal
