BAMC Recognizes Employees for April
(Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center recognizes Pamela Harju Sawaski
as April’s Employee of the Month and acknowledges seven others as Service
Care Stars.
Harju Sawaski received her practical nursing education from Gogebic College
in Ironwood, MI, and started working on the Medical/Surgical department at Menominee
County Lloyd Hospital in 1979. Since then she has worked in the Behavioral Medicine
department and is currently an LPN in Occupational Health at BAMC.
Harju Sawaski was chosen as employee of the month for her motivation and success
in completing additional responsibilities. Ann Kresl, Director of Rehabilitation
Services, describes her as, “very motivated, always willing to learn and
expand her job duties.”
“I am proud to be an employee at BAMC,” Harju Sawaski notes.
Seven other employees were named Service Care Stars for exemplifying the hospital’s
Service Care standards. These employees are:
- Janel Thoune - Marketing Specialist in Public Relations for
making a positive first impression
- Dianne Bertrand - Receiving Clerk in Materials Management
for treating others as guests
- Connie Doboy - RN on 2-East Medical/Surgical Unit for developing
service recovery;
- Renee Haberland - RN on 2-East Medical/Surgical Unit for
communicating effectively
- Sarah Nicklaus - Nurse Aide in the Float Pool for serving
others from a team-centered approach
- Jamie Marker - OB/GYN RN for projecting a positive attitude
- Stacey Marineau - File Clerk in Health Information Management
for making excellence her goal
