| For more information contact: (Marinette, Wis.) – Charities Plus of Crivitz, Wis., recently presented CEO David Olson of Bay Area Medical Center a check for $8,283.70 raised at a local golf outing. Crivitz activist and community leader Karen Tomaszewski is the founder of Charities Plus whose goal is to raise money for local causes. Tomaszewski is joined by Mary Nelson, Sandy Beno and Sharon Gruszynski – owners of Hunter’s Glen Golf Course; and Katherine Borths, owner of the Red Apple Gift Shop. The Crivitz Women’s Club and the Crivitz Lions Club contributed greatly to the recent golf outing success. Prizes for the outing and silent auction were donated by area merchants and a 50/50 raffle was sponsored by the Lions Club. The Crivitz Women’s Club assisted Hunters Glen Golf Course with food preparation and a large buffet. Over 100 golfers had a great time in spite of a downpour causing some course delays. Frog Country Radio, 101.5 out of Iron Mountain, CenturyTel, Ms. Marie Apple and the Red Apple Gift Shop were major sponsors. “We are absolutely delighted with the support of the Crivitz community and appreciate the hard work of everyone who made this event a successful one,” stated Olson when receiving the donation. The golf outing is slated to become an annual event. “We are dedicated to raising funds for Bay Area Medical Center so that our dollars stay local and help the people of our area,” concluded Tomaszewski. Information about next year’s event is available by calling Hunter’s Glen at (715) 854-8008 or the BAMC Foundation office at (715) 735-8050. |
