Linda Bayerl - Congratulations to BAMC's Employee of the Month for August 2004.

(Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center recognizes Linda Bayerl as August’s Employee of the Month and acknowledges seven others as Service Care Stars.

Bayerl is a Dietary Aide in Dietetic Services. She graduated from Marinette High School and began working in the Dietary Department in September of 1992. Some of her duties include setting up and delivering caterings, the deli cart and patient meals. “The best part about working at BAMC is the kind, friendly team approach from the employees in all departments,” she says.

Bayerl’s supervisor Tricia Magreta states, “Linda uses all seven standards of Service Care every day.”

“I am very proud to work in a facility that is constantly growing and keeping up to date with the ever changing medical technologies,” Bayerl says. “We have an outstanding group of employees and doctors. I have made a lot of great friends here.”

Seven other employees were named Service Care Stars for exemplifying the hospital’s Service Care standards. These employees are:

• Linda Hanson, a Receptionist in Rehab Services for making a positive first impression;
• Nora Plym, an RN in the Intensive Care Unit for treating others as guests;
• Kathy Perez, a File Clerk in Health Information Management for developing service recovery;
• Char Gurney, an LPN in 1 East Medical/Surgical for communicating effectively;
• Donna King, an LPN in 2 East Medical/Surgical for serving others from a team-centered approach;
• Judy Brissette, Compliance Coordinator in Process Effectiveness for projecting a positive attitude; and
• Monica Bittner, an LPN in 1 East Medical/Surgical for making excellence her goal.
