Medicine/Infectious Disease Physician Joins Community (August 17, 2004) |

(Marinette, Wis.) – Emmanuel Rodriguez, MD, MPH, is the newest NorthReach physician to come to the Marinette/Menominee area. Dr. Rodriguez is an internal medicine physician with the NorthReach Internal Medicine clinic, and he will also practice his special interest of Infectious Disease at Bay Area Medical Center. His résumé includes a Masters Degree in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases from the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Harvard Medical School. He also completed a residency in Internal Medicine from the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA and medical training and medical school in Sydney, Australia. Before coming to Bay Area, Dr. Rodriguez worked as the Clinical Fellow in Infectious Diseases at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School. Some special interests of Dr. Rodriguez include prevention of infections in travelers, managing infections of patients with impaired immune systems from cancer, HIV, or transplantation. Dr. Rodriguez has a strong interest in public health awareness and education. His expertise in public health includes prevention of communicable diseases including influenza, investigating outbreaks and bioterrorism. “I want to help to improve the health of this community. I provide a high level of care for my patients-the same care I would want for a family member or myself to receive. I also like to work side-by-side with them,” states Dr. Rodriguez. He also has an emphasis on patient partnership. “I like to help people in the best way I can.” Dr. Rodriguez is now accepting patients at NorthReach Internal Medicine (715-732-2299). |
