(Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center Rehabilitation Services will start a pool class for people who would like to begin an aquatic exercise program.

Two classes will be offered in the warm water therapy pool at the Bay Area Mobility Center, 3117 Shore Drive, Marinette, starting on November 1. The first aquatic exercise class will be on Mondays and Fridays from Noon – 1:00 p.m. The second class will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Shirley Pisani, a certified occupational therapy assistant, will teach both classes.

The warm water pool offers a comfortable exercise option for people of all ages. The buoyancy of the water allows for exercise that puts less stress on joints. This program will be instructed with an emphasis on stretching, flexibility, strengthening, relaxation and proper body mechanics.

Classes are limited to six to eight participants with a fee of $60 for 12 group sessions.

A release form signed by your physician and completion of a registration form is required. For more information, please call the Bay Area Mobility Center, Rehabilitation Services Department at (715) 732-5111.
