NorthReach Healthcare Physician John Briody, MD
Health reporter Lisa Malak of CBS 5
interviewed Dr. John Briody on Nov. 4
for a "Doctors Rate Doctors" series.

(Marinette, Wis.) – NorthReach Healthcare physician John Briody, MD, was selected as the top OB/GYN in a small community by a recent CBS 5 News poll of area doctors.

Briody will be highlighted on a “Doctors Rate Doctors” series airing on CBS 5 News at 10:00 p.m. on November 18.

The news station sent out over 1,500 questionnaires to licensed doctors in Northeast Wisconsin asking them who they would go to, or who they would send a family member to in five medical areas. About 450 responses were sent back highlighting doctor names in the areas of general practice, pediatrics, OB/GYN, orthopedics and cardiology.

According to health reporter Lisa Malak of CBS 5, one doctor was picked from a large community and one doctor was picked from a smaller community in each category except cardiology. Malak states that Briody’s name received the most votes in the OB/GYN small community category.

“I feel very honored to be a part of this series,” stated Briody. “I really enjoy what I do. I am very passionate about great local care, and I also thank my staff for being a part of this great service.”

Four other NorthReach doctors were also mentioned in the survey. Dr. Michael Massee was nominated under OB/GYN, as well as Drs. Andrew Buchl and James Opoien in Family Practice and Dr. Elywn Mantei in Internal Medicine.

The “Doctors Rate Doctors” series began airing on Nov. 7. As the series progresses, a list of names collected from the doctors’ poll will be published each day on the news station’s website at www.wfrv.com.
