Sandy Paul is selected as Bay Area Medical Center’s Employee of the Month for January (2005).

(Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center recognizes Sandy Paul as the Employee of the Month for January and acknowledges seven others as Service Care Stars.

Paul completed office assistant training at NWTC and attended additional training at Lakeshore Technical College for material management practices and principles. She began her employment at BAMC in 1989.

As a purchasing agent, Paul works with staff and vendors to provide necessary goods and services. She researches new items, best pricing and services as a great resource for employees.

This employee of the month was chosen for her superior service to staff and vendors.

“Sandy is always going out of her way to offer that little extra in the service of her customers. She is very knowledgeable and responsive to the needs of the customer,” said Mike Passarelli, director of Materials Management.

“BAMC has allowed me to achieve great personal growth and has challenged me to improve my skills both personally and professionally,” Paul states.

Seven other employees have been named Service Care Stars for exemplifying the hospital’s Service Care standards. These employees are:

• Lisa Richter, Receptionist in Urology, for making a positive first impression;
• Tricia Magreta, Dietary Supervisor, for treating others as guests;
• Donna King, 2-East Medical/Surgical RN, for developing service recovery;
• Lisa Cook, 2-East Medical/Surgical RN, for communicating effectively;
• Kim Andrews, RN in the Intensive Care Unit, for serving others from a team-centered approach;
• Ray Guard, Facilities Worker, for projecting a positive attitude; and
• Terri Barker, 2-East Medical/Surgical RN, for making excellence her goal.
