Marie Dellisse is selected as Bay Area Medical Center’s Employee of the Month for March (2005).

(Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center recognizes Marie Dellisse, as the Employee of the Month for March and acknowledges seven others as Service Care Stars.

Dellisse is the receptionist in the Bay Area Surgical Consultants clinic with Dr. Karkkainen. She began her employment at Bay Area Medical Center in August 2001.

As a receptionist for the clinic, Dellisse schedules appointments, coordinates with insurance companies and manages patient visits. She also helps patients with any problems they may have after surgery with insurance payment or other questions.
Dellisse was chosen as the employee of the month for her superior customer service and attitude. She is always willing to go the extra mile for her patients, as demonstrated by her recent help in working out a solution for a patient that could not afford medications.

“Marie has a way of putting patients at ease and treats everyone with the utmost respect. She will also stop at nothing to help someone,” said Connie Theuerkauf, clinic administrator at BAMC.

“What I like best about BAMC is being part of an organization that gives so much back to the community, more than most people realize,” commented Dellisse about working at BAMC.

Seven other employees are named Service Care Stars for exemplifying the hospital’s Service Care standards. These employees are:

• Beth Lewis, Registrar in Registrations, for making a positive first impression;
• Lori Monfils, Environmental Services Aide, for treating others as guests;
• Deb Bohaczek, Dialysis RN, for developing service recovery;
• Cathy Miller, Medical Technologist in the Lab, for communicating effectively;
• Margie Reiswitz, Medical Assistant with Bay Area Surgical Consultants, for serving others from a team-centered approach;
• Heather Giese, 2-East Medical/Surgical RN, for projecting a positive attitude;
• Wendy Rydell, Clinical Dietician, for making excellence her goal.
