Jason Koenigs is selected as Bay Area Medical Center’s Employee of the Month for June (2005).

(Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center recognizes Jason Koenigs, Physical Therapist in the Physical Therapy Department, as the Employee of the Month for June and acknowledges seven others as Service Care Stars.

Koenigs began his employment at Bay Area Medical Center in December of 2002. As a Physical Therapist, Koenigs evaluates and treats patients for their physical therapy needs. He indicated the best part of his job is working with people. He feels a great deal of satisfaction when the patients he has treated experience positive outcomes.

Ann Kresl, Director of Physical Therapy, said that, “Jason is a hard worker who provides excellent patient care. His patients often request that he provide their care.”

When asked to comment about being employed at BAMC, Koenigs replied, “BAMC is a great place to work. I feel like the Administrators listen to employees and do their best to fulfill requests.”

Seven other employees are named Service Care Stars for exemplifying the hospital’s Service Care standards. These employees are:

• Dean Hoffman, Painter in Facilities Management, for making a positive first impression;
• Erica Poetzl, Ultrasound Technologist in Ultrasound, for treating others as guests;
• Mike Hubert, Computer Technician in Information Technology, for developing service recovery;
• Bobbi Wangerin, Human Resources Associate in Human Resources, for communicating effectively;
• Amy Kriedeman, Coder/Analyzer in Health Information Management, for serving others from a team-centered approach;
• Bonnie Pottratz, Pharmacy Aide in Pharmacy, for projecting a positive attitude; and
• Carrie Cate, Registrar in Registrations, for making excellence her goal.
