(Marinette, Wis.) – Terry Anderson-Blanke, a speech language pathologist, has joined Bay Area Medical Center Rehabilitation Services. Anderson-Blanke has five years of experience in the speech therapy field in long-term care settings in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula. She will be providing speech therapy services to hospital inpatients and in outpatient settings at the Mobility Center in Marinette and the Crivitz clinic. Anderson-Blanke can treat a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders for patients of all ages. “I am especially looking forward to working with the age span, from pediatric through geriatric, for speech therapy,” Anderson-Blanke said. “I try to always focus on the goals my patients may have, as well as providing education and teaching on the process of therapy and management of health concerns.” Anderson-Blanke is a graduate from UW-Milwaukee with a Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders. Some of her special interests include difficulty in swallowing for elderly patients, communication and cognition issues. Anderson-Blanke grew up in the Green Bay area and moved to Oconto four years ago to be closer to her family. “This is a beautiful area to live in, and I am looking forward to meeting more people through my work with Bay Area Medical Center,” she said. Anderson-Blanke is now seeing patients at the Bay Area Mobility Center and at Bay Area Medical Center. For more information she can be reached at (715) 735-4200 ext. 5121.
