Recognizes Employees for January (January 17, 2006) |

(Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center recognized Renee Haberland, RN in the 2-East Medical/Surgical Department, as the Employee of the Month for January 2006. Haberland graduated from Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, WI. She received her Associate degree in nursing from Bay College and is currently attending UW-Green Bay for her Bachelor’s degree. She has been a part of the nursing team at BAMC since May 2003. Haberland was chosen for her above-and-beyond attitude and involvement. She has attended national conferences on patient satisfaction and nursing, has become the lead on her department’s patient satisfaction team, is an active part of the palliative care committee, a preceptor to new employees, and a per diem nursing supervisor. “I have been given every opportunity to grow and learn. I am a better nurse because of it,” said Haberland. “Renee is always friendly and has a warm smile,” said Bobbi Morton, director of 2-East medical/surgical floor. “She cares so much for the patients and makes visitors feel welcome.” Seven other employees were named Service Care Stars for exemplifying the hospital’s Service Care standards.
