Jacque Starzynski is selected as Bay Area Medical Center’s Employee of the Month for February (2006).

(Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center recognized Jacque Starzynski, LPN in the One East Medical/Surgical Department as the Employee of the Month for February 2006.

Starzynski received her LPN degree from NWTC and is currently taking courses to become an RN. She started working at Bay Area Medical Center in August 2001 and enjoys her job as an LPN on the First Floor. “I like to take care of my patients and let them confide in me,” said Starzynski. “It’s important for patients to feel safe and trust you so you can properly treat them.”

Julie Tompson, Director of One East Medical/Surgical, said, “Jacque is very eager to help patients and is very good at service recovery. She has a very positive attitude and is always smiling. Her patients love her and she is a huge asset to our Pediatric population.”

Seven other employees were named Service Care Stars for exemplifying the hospital’s Service Care standards. These employees were:

• Anisha Meyers, ED Technician, Emergency Services, for making a positive first impression;
• Jamie Williams, LPN, One East Medical/Surgical, for treating others as guests;
• Dale Pasdo, Unit Secretary, Surgical Services, for developing service recovery;
• Kacy Goldschmidt, Patient Care Technician, Nursing Float Pool, for communicating effectively;
• Pam McGowan, CT Supervisor, for serving others from a team-centered approach;
• Marguerite Thyne, Occupational Therapy Assistant, for projecting a positive attitude; and
• Matt Baumler, Social Worker, Case Management, for making excellence his goal.
