Paula Lintner is selected as Bay Area Medical Center’s Employee of the Month for May (2006).

(Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center recognizes Paula Lintner, Director of Critical Care Services, as the Employee of the Month for May and acknowledges seven others as Service Care Stars.

Lintner’s educational background includes Operating Room Technician and Registered Nurse degrees from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, and a certificate program in Health Care Management degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. She is credentialed as a Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse and Advanced Cardiac Life Support instructor. As Director of Critical Care, she oversees the ICU/IMCU, Respiratory Care and Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Lintner is also the Cardiovascular Service Line Leader and has been with BAMC since 2003.

Lintner was chosen as employee of the month for her excellent performance and vision in her job. “Paula consistently exceeds expectations, constantly takes initiative to reach a vision and is loyal and committed to BAMC,” said Bernie VanCourt, Chief Operating Officer.

“I am pleased to be a part of the growth the hospital has experienced, including the development of the Cardiac Cath Lab, the expansion of the ICU to add the intermediate care unit, and the development of the Cardiovascular Service Line,” Lintner said. “We are a progressive, quality driven organization that provides excellent care.”

Seven other employees are named Service Care Stars for exemplifying the hospital’s Service Care standards. These employees are:

  • Joanne Sieman, Dietary Aide in Dietary Services, for making a positive first impression;
  • Jessica Roeske, RN in OB/Gyn, for treating others as guests;
  • Mary Czerniewski, Patient Care Documentation System Coordinator in Information Technology, for developing service recovery;
  • Tina Pichette, Unit Secretary on Two East Med/Surg, for communicating effectively;
  • Laura Heilman, Phlebotomist in Laboratory, for serving others from a team-centered approach;
  • Jessica Wellner, LPN, Nursing Float Pool, for projecting a positive attitude; and
  • Bill Watson, Biomedical Assistant in Biomedical Services, for making excellence the goal.
