(Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center recognized Janet Charbonneau, console operator in the Registrations department, as the employee of the month for June and acknowledged seven others as Service Care Stars. Charbonneau began her employment at BAMC in 1998. As a console operator she answers the phone, greets patients and visitors and provides them with the information they need. She also pages physicians and emergency codes overhead when activated through the switchboard. Charbonneau attended Thornton High School in Harvey, Illinois and received an accounting certificate from NWTC. She is currently pursuing an associate degree at NWTC with a focus in Health Care Business Services. The June employee of the month was chosen for her excellent job performance. “Janet has been here for eight years as an operator and her performance is outstanding,” said Terry Rastall, director of Registrations. “She knows where to find answers for customers, remains calm during times of stress and is a great resource for her co-workers.” Charbonneau displays a large amount of pride in her job. “The recent
awards we have won show the commitment all the employees have to BAMC. We can
all be proud of the care and compassion the entire staff shows all the patients
who choose our facility for their treatment.”
