golf open raises $2,600 for BAMC charity (July 26, 2006) |

(Marinette, Wis.) – Mike Bretl, Mike Bretl Builders, presents a check for $2,600 to Dr. Sakti Chakrabarti and David Olson, president and CEO of Bay Area Medical Center. The check represents proceeds from silent auction and sponsor donations from the 13th Annual Greater Turkey Golf Open, sponsored by Bretl Builders and held at DeSmidt’s Golf Course and Country Club in Crivitz on May 20. Event organizers included Rodney Sterzing, Nancy Sterzing, Keith Dalluge, Robert Schmidt and Dave Weber. Events committee members included Arlene Basso, Jennifer Madden, Mary Schmidt, Doreen Dalluge, Sandra Hyer and Nancy Jo Sterzing. A 50/50 raffle was also held, with proceeds going to the Crivitz Rescue Squad and Crivitz Fire Department. Bay Area Medical Center CEO David Olson expressed his gratitude on behalf of the hospital and the Bay Area Cancer Center to Mike Bretl. “Community events such as these that heighten awareness and help provide for needed services are very important to BAMC, and we appreciate the effort of the community members, Bretl Builders, and DeSmidt’s Golf Course and Country Club.” |

For the Editor: Bay Area Medical Center is a 99-bed general acute care hospital located in Northeast Wisconsin. It includes a community primary/secondary care hospital, a 71,100 sq.-ft. outpatient surgery center, a primary care physician joint venture, and a radiation oncology joint venture. BAMC offers select, advanced medical services, with an emphasis on diagnostic radiology, rehabilitation services, ambulatory surgery, obstetrics, cancer treatment and urgent care. BAMC earned full accreditation in 2006 by the Joint Commission on HealthCare Organizations. |
