at BAMC Aquatic Exercise Class (December 18, 2006) |
| For more information contact: (Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center Rehabilitation Services will start a pool class for people who wish to begin performing strengthening exercises in the water environment. This class will be offered in the warm water therapy pool at the Bay Area Mobility Center, 3117 Shore Drive, Marinette. Classes will be held for a six-week period starting on January 9, 2006, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. The warm water pool offers a comfortable exercise option for people of all ages. The buoyancy of the water allows for exercise that puts less stress on joints. This program will be instructed with an emphasis on stretching, flexibility, strengthening of the upper and lower body, and proper body mechanics. This program is designed to help anyone who would like to participate in a beginning water exercise program. Class size will be limited to eight participants with a fee of $60 per person for 12 sessions. A release form signed by your physician and completion of a registration form is required. For the Editor: Bay Area Medical Center is a 99-bed general acute care hospital located in Northeast Wisconsin.
