Recognizes Employees for January (January 30, 2007) |

(Marinette, Wis.) – Bay Area Medical Center recognized Vicky Leider, Authorizations Clerk in Registrations as employee of the month for January and acknowledged seven others as Service Care Stars. Vicky graduated from Green Bay West High School and continued her education at Southern Technical College in Wichita, Kansas. Vicky began working for Bay Area Medical Center in 1999. In her current role within Registrations, Vicky ensures outpatient orders are compliant and meet medical necessity guidelines. She also assists with patient authorizations. Vicky’s most recent accomplishment includes being involved with the implementation of the new compliance software system and training others on its use. When asked to comment about being a BAMC employee, Vicky said “What I appreciate most about BAMC is the people I have met and the friendships I have made.” She goes on to say “I am surrounded daily by people who are as equally deserving of this honor.” Terry Rastall, Director of Registrations, said “Vicky greets patients with a smile on her face and a smile in her voice. She is always willing to help others and as a result is well respected by her co-workers.” In January, seven other employees were named Service Care Stars for exemplifying the hospital’s Service Care Standards. For the Editor: Bay Area Medical Center is a 99-bed general acute care hospital located in Northeast Wisconsin. It includes a community primary/secondary care hospital, a 71,100 sq.-ft. outpatient surgery center, a primary care physician joint venture, and a radiation oncology joint venture. BAMC offers select, advanced medical services, with an emphasis on diagnostic radiology, rehabilitation services, ambulatory surgery, obstetrics, cancer treatment and urgent care.
